19/06/2012 Problems in TV reception
Tuesday, 19 June 2012: GO would like to inform its DTTV customers that the quality of DTTV reception in certain areas of Malta and Gozo may deteriorate due to radio frequency (RF) interference received from Sicily. This interference is caused by the TV switch-over process which is underway in the south of Sicily.
These abnormally high levels of RF interference may negatively impact a number of TV channels in certain areas, and clients may experience loss of some TV channels. GO is working closely with the Malta Communications Authority and international authorities to escalate the problem. In the meantime GO is also taking remedial action to make network adjustments in order to minimize the problem as soon as possible.
