What is Mobile Number Portability (MNP)?

The mobile telephony industry has agreed on a system that allows a customer to switch from one network operator to another without changing mobile number. In Malta, the process has been established by the Malta Communications Authority in conjunction with all the local telecom operators.

This means you can now switch to GO Mobile and keep your existing mobile number! Change your mobile operator without the inconvenience of changing number...

How does it work?

You can switch to GO Mobile as long as you have an active number with your current operator (or an active time window if you have a prepaid connection).

How do I get started?

Nothing could be simpler! All you need to do is visit one of GO Mobile's eight Customer Contact Centres in Malta and Gozo, taking with you your Identity Card (in the case of a Maltese national) or passport (in the case of a foreigner) and your SIM card.

Will I lose the contacts from my old SIM card?

No! GO Mobile will copy the contents (e.g. your phone book contacts) of your old SIM card to a new GO Mobile Smart SIM.

How much does it cost?

Porting in to GO Mobile is currently free of charge.
