Getting Started with Group SMS
1. What is Group SMS?
Group SMS is a facility through which you can send the same SMS to more than one person at the same time from the My GO portal.
2.What is the difference between Basic web-to-SMS and Group SMS?

3. What is the relation between Group SMS and the Phonebook?
The phonebook facilitates the use of the Group SMS service as it allows you to group and store names and mobile phone numbers of those people to whom you need to send an SMS. Storing your contacts in the phonebook saves you having to remember each mobile number by heart and entering them one by one in the recipients' field.
4. How can I group entries in a Phonebook group?
To group entries in the phonebook is very simple. All you have to do is:
-Click on the icon 'phonebook'.
-Select individual entries by ticking the check box near the number that you require.
-Name the group by entering the group name in the field 'group as'.
-Click on the icon 'create group'.

5. How many SMS can I send per day when using Group SMS?
The Group SMS facility in My GO allows you to group up to 100 single SMS per day at any point in time. These 100 SMS can be grouped as required as long as the groups created do not exceed the limit of 100 and do not go below the minimum of 2. For example, you can send the same message to 100 people at the same time; however, after that you will only be allowed to send one-to-one SMS as usual. On the other hand, if you send the same SMS to 50 different users at the same time, you have another 50 SMS that can be grouped and sent together during that day. The groups can be of any size as long as you remain within the 100 group limit.
6. Will all my SMSes be sent at once no matter how many SMSes are included in my group?
GO Mobile always does its utmost to offer its customers the best service. In order to ensure that the system can support the number of SMSes sent by all customers, GO Mobile 'throttles' the SMSes so that these arrive as quickly as possible and without any problems.
7. What will happen to the SMSes I sent in a group if I do not have enough balance in my Pay As You GO account?
If you send more SMSes than your Pay As You GO balance permits, the system will only send the number of SMSes that can be paid off using your current balance.

8. How can I subscribe to Group SMS?
You may subscribe to Group SMS through My GO. Select the phonebook and click on the icon 'subscribe to Group SMS'. You will be charged a on-time fee of €2.33/Lm1.00 to subscribe.
9. Can I unsubscribe from the Group SMS?
Yes, you can choose to unsubscribe from the Group SMS at any time by clicking on the icon 'unsubscribe' in the phonebook section of My GO. Unsubscribing is free of charge.
10. If I subscribe to Group SMS, will I still benefit from sending a number of free SMS each day through My GO?
Yes, you will still benefit from the 8 free SMS per day from My GO. The standard SMS charge will apply once the free SMS are used up.
11. If I opt to subscribe to Group SMS, will I still be able to send one�to-one SMS through My GO?
Yes, you will still be able to send one-to-one SMS from My GO at any time even if you are subscribed to the Group SMS service.
