Topping Up the traditional way
•Top-up Scratch card
You can top up using standard Top-Up cards of €5, €10, €20, or €50 which cards can be bought from GO mobile's Retail Outlets and authorized distributors. Simply scratch the card, call 1231 from your GO mobile number, and key in the voucher number. Calling 1231 is free of charge whether you call from Malta or while roaming. Remember however that when you are roaming, 1231 can only be dialled with an operator which offers the outgoing calls service (Camel).
You can also topup your voucher cards by calling 00356 79222123. The Call can also be made from a landline (local or foreign). The call will be charged as per respective tariffs whether local or foreign. Procedure:
i. Call (+356) 79222123
ii. Insert the GO mobile number and press #
iii. Press 1
iv. Insert the voucher (scratch) number
v. New balance and time window are announced
Visit any GO mobile Retail Outlet around Malta and Gozo where our Customer care representative will top up your account.
Please note that: Third-parties cannot be topped-up from our Retail Outlets.
Topping Up Electronically
• Auto Top-Up service
Make sure you never run out of credit!
Register for GO mobile's Auto Top-Up service online. Just log on to www.go.com.mt and fill in the online registration form that is found in the My GO section. Not yet a My GO subscriber? No worries - click here to subscribe, it's free and it's fast!
Alternatively, go to the nearest Retail Outlet, bring your mobile phone, bring your Identity Card and a valid Credit Card or Debit Card and sign the Auto-Topup contract. You can then determine when and how you want your credit to be topped up .
It is entirely up to the client to decide how the Auto Top-up is triggered. One can choose to have his credit topped up with €5, €10, €20 or €50 on a particular day of the month, when the remaining credit is below € 2.33 or € 4.66. Some Auto Top-up settings can also be changed through My GO. When two or all three are chosen, there is the possiblity of a double Auto topup in the same day or in a short period of time.
One may also choose to automatically Top-Up another GO mobile Pay As You GO customer, for example parents can decide to Top-Up their children's prepaid account or employers can Top-Up their employees prepaid account.
Note: Both Pay As You GO and Pay Monthly customers can register for the third party Top-Up service. Customers can Top-Up a total of 5 different GO mobile numbers using the same credit/debit card. Customers have the facility of viewing the receipts from My GO of mobile numbers which have been topped up through their credit or debit card.
• SMS Top-Up
Like the Auto Top-up service just log on to www.go.com.mt and fill in the online registration form that is found in the My GO section. Alternatively, go to the nearest Retail Outlet, bring your mobile phone, bring your Identity Card and a valid Credit Card or Debit Card and sign the SMS-Topup contract.
If you are a Pay As You GO customer, you can also Top-Up your Pay As You GO account by sending a blank SMS to one of the following numbers:
» 5070 0505 - €05.00
» 5070 0510 - €10.00
» 5070 0520 - €20.00
» 5070 0550 - €50.00
This service is also available overseas provided a roaming agreement with the foreign mobile operator is in place. The blank sms from abroad will cost €0.35. (whereas if sent from Malta it is fee of charge)
• Credit Transfer
GO customers can transfer credit from one Pay As You GO account to another. All one has to do is send an SMS (standard SMS tariff will be charged) with the mobile number of the person receiving the credit to one of the following numbers:
» 5070 0402 to transfer €2.00 or
» 5070 0405 to transfer €5.00
For example to transfer €2.00 to mobile number 79123456 send an SMS with 79123456 to 5070 0402
This service is also available overseas provided a roaming agreement with the foreign mobile operator is in place.The sms while roaming will cost €0.35c
1. You can transfer credit for a maximum of 3 times a day (therefore maximum credit transferred is €15 per day) .
2. You have the option to know the last 5 transfers done. Send L/l/list/List/LIST to 50700402 for the last 5 transfers of €2 or 50700405 for the last 5 transfers of €5. (This sms will cost you €0.05)
3. You can block the Credit Transfer service (N.B: from Subscriber Info) as a recipient or as a donor. You can call 146 to block the service.
N.B: If a customer is barred from being a donor he will no longer be able to make use of the list option.
• My GO Top-up
An easy and convenient way to top up your account is via GO 's web portal, My GO, using your debit or credit card (HSBC and BOV). This can be done from anywhere in the world. You can also use internet to top up the account of any other Pay As You GO subscriber, ideal if you have relatives who are travelling.. Whenever you send the blank sms to receive the transaction code, the sms is free of charge if done locally.
• BOV Mobile service
If you are a BOV customer, you can top up your GO Pay As You GO account by sending your BOV User Identification Number via SMS to the following numbers:
» 5061 6505 for a €5.00 Top-Up
» 5061 6510 for a €10.00 Top-Up
» 5061 6520 for a €20.00 Top-Up
» 5061 6550 for a €50.00 Top-Up
The sms is free of charge if done locally, however it will cost you €0.35 if sent from abroad.
If you are a BOV internet banking user you may apply online and benefit immediately from this Top-Up service. Alternatively, visit any BOV branch for more details. This service is also available in countries where there is a roaming agreement. More info about the BOV mobile top up service

• HSBC mobile service
If you are an HSBC customer, you can top up your GO mobile Pay As You GO account by sending an SMS. Register with the bank, which will give you a PIN number. Then send an SMS with this number to:

» 5061 6610 for a €10.00 Top-Up
» 5061 6620 for a €20.00 Top-Up
» 5061 6650 for a €50.00 Top-Up
