How does my Wi-Fi work?

Wireless fidelity or more commonly known as Wi-Fi is a way to connect your computer, phone or other devices to the internet wirelessly, without using any cables. When you use Wi-Fi, you connect to a wireless access point, like a router, which sends and receives data using radio waves.

Once you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can use the internet just like you would if you were connected with a cable.
