What is the Digital Services Act (DSA)?

The Digital Services Act (DSA) is an EU regulation designed to make the online environment safer, more transparent, and more accountable for all users by means of a single set of rules that apply across the EU. Broadly, these rules apply to content-related online services, from very large online platforms and search engines to online sellers, hosting services and intermediary services such as GO and other internet service providers. These rules are intended to protect users’ rights, including the protection of minors from – for example – targeted adverts, prevent the online availability of illegal content, services and goods and implement a mechanism where such content can be reported and potentially removed across the EU.

How to File a Complaint or Report Content

In line with articles 11 and 12, intermediary services, such as GO and other telecoms operators, must have a single point of contact which can be used to address issues related to DSA. Authorities and users that wish to communicate with GO on matters relating to the DSA may do so on the following email address: [email protected]. Only correspondence in English and Maltese will be handled through this address.

Transparency Report for the February 2024- February 2025 period

Under Article 15 of the Digital Services Act (DSA), all providers of intermediary services—including internet infrastructure, hosting, and online platforms—are required to publish annual transparency reports about their content moderation practices.
