How to activate VoLTE & VoWiFi on iPhone

Activating VoLTE & VoWiFi gives you a better experience with clearer HD calls, faster connections, the ability to browse while on a call and better coverage in tricky spots like underground.

Follow the steps below to activate your VoLTE & VoWiFi settings on your device.

    Step 1: Enable VoLTE

Just note that if your iPhone is running iOS 26, VoLTE is enabled automatically by default, so you may not need to follow these steps.

    • Open Settings.
    • Tap Mobile Service (or Cellular, depending on your iOS version).
    • Tap Mobile Data Options.
    • Tap Voice & Data, then select 4G or 5G with VoLTE ON.

(If you are using Dual SIM, make sure you select the correct line first.)

    Step 2: Enable VoWIFI

First make sure that VoLTE is enabled, as VoWiFi will not work without it. If you are in doubt, please see above. Once VoLTE is activated:

    • Open Settings.
    • Tap Mobile Service (or Cellular).
    • Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
    • Turn ON Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone and confirm if prompted.

    Quick Check
    To confirm VoLTE is working:

    • While making a call, your phone should stay on 4G or 5G.
    • If it drops to 3G, VoLTE is not active.

To confirm Wi-Fi Calling is working:
    • When connected to Wi-Fi, you may see “Wi-Fi” next to your network name in the status bar during a call.

If you don’t see VoLTE or Wi-Fi Calling options:

    • Restart your iPhone.
    • Make sure iOS is updated.
    • Ensure your SIM card supports 4G.
    • Check that Mobile Data is turned ON.
    • Confirm your plan supports VoLTE and VoWiFi.
    • If the option still doesn’t appear, contact customer care or visit one of our stores.
