Yes, creating a guest Wi-Fi network allows your visitors to connect to the internet without giving them access to your main network or connected devices. This convenient feature is available with Sagemcom and Nokia modems.
How to create a guest Wi-Fi network on a Sagemcom modem:
- Make sure your device is connected to the modem via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Access the CPE GUI. To do so open a web browser and go to: https://192.168.1.254
- Log in using the advanced username and password. These are printed on the label at the back or bottom of the modem, as long as you haven’t changed them.
- Next, you need to navigate to the ‘Guest Access’ setting. To do so, head to the home page and click on the Guest Access tab, found in the centre of the screen.
- Click the ‘Enable Guest Access’ button.
- Set a name (SSID) for your guest network (e.g., “Home Guest WiFi”), choose a strong password to ensure secure access and click the Apply button to save your changes.
