Simply follow the steps below:
- Set a strong Wi-Fi password: a user can easily change the default password into their own password, this is why it’s important to choose a unique, complex password with a mix of letters, numbers, symbols and avoid using personal information.
- Use strong encryption: by default our modems come with WPA2 enabled. We recommend not downgrading to outdated options like WPA or worse.
- Use a guest network: set up a separate guest network for visitors to isolate your main devices and data.
- WPS disabled: WPS is convenient but vulnerable to brute-force attacks. It’s best to keep it turned off.
- Monitor connected devices: it’s good practice to periodically check and manage the devices connected to your network.
