As part of the ongoing efforts here at GO to make this tough situation easier on everyone, we’ve been working on a number of initiatives to help those in some of the most difficult positions. For all the news from GO during this situation, you can check our latest updates page.

GO TV for Everyone

There aren’t many people who love being stuck at home,  especially for such a long time. To make sure that the time spent at home isn’t just a case of counting the hours, we’ve opened up a whole range of entertainment channels, as well as our movies and on-demand TV channels, to all of our TV customers, no matter what subscription they have. However, we also know that, like the efforts against COVID-19 on the whole,  this is something that we all have to do together. That’s why we’ve opened up all those same channels to everyone through the GO app, whether they are a GO customer or not.  Anyone who wants to access these channels just needs to download the GO TV app and then apply for their free login details using the form on this page.

Support for Frontline Services

No one can doubt the dedication, commitment and sacrifice of time and effort made by all of our frontline services in Malta right now. With the assistance of Unions and Ministries, we have assigned all GO customers who worked on the frontline a free 30-day bundle, which consisted of 10GB of data and 1000 minutes  as a token of appreciation. The data was available to anyone in EU Zone 1, and the minutes were used to call to and from Malta and in Zone 1.

This bundle was open to nurses, doctors, police, firefighters, members of the armed forces and public health care workers. All those eligible received an SMS notification within a few days.

Help for those abroad

Being stuck away from home is already a rough place to be right now, and we know it would be much worse if you couldn’t contact the important people in your life, or keep up to date with all the latest news. That’s why, as of the 14th of March, our monthly Freedom plan customers in non-EU countries had roaming charges up to €500 removed from their next bill, while those in EU countries received 50GB of data and 1000 minutes on top of their allowance. Our top-up and hybrid plan customers got an extra €100 credit if they were outside the EU, and a bundle of 5GB data and 200 minutes and SMS if they were in an EU country.

Remember, if you’re in the EU, your regular plan will work just like in Malta with Rome Like at Home. If you need to increase or turn off the automatic data roaming limit, you can manage it from wherever you are through the settings menu on MyGO. If you haven’t got a MyGO account set up yet, you can follow the instructions here.

The health of both our customers and our workforce is our highest priority right now. We would like to again encourage all of our customers to avoid going to our outlets for now, and instead make use of all of the services and advice mentioned in this earlier article.
