What type of grants are available?
These are the 2 types of grants applicable with GO Energi:
1. Photovoltaic (PV) System Grant:
- Subsidy: 50% of the total cost of installing a PV system is covered.
- Maximum Grant: Up to €3,000 per PV system.
- Purpose: Encourages households to adopt renewable energy by offsetting a significant portion of the installation cost.
2. Battery Storage System Grant:
- Subsidy: 80% of the cost of a battery storage system is covered.
- Maximum Grant: Up to €7,200 per system.
- Purpose: Supports the integration of energy storage solutions, enabling users to store solar energy and use it later, enhancing self-consumption and reducing dependency on the grid.
If your PV system generates more energy than you consume, the surplus energy can be sold back to the grid at a rate of €0.10 per kWh, providing extra income or further reducing your electricity bills. If you choose to install a complete PV system with a battery and inverter, you will be eligible for both grants. However, if you already have a PV system and are looking to add a battery and upgrade to a hybrid inverter, you can still benefit from the second grant.
