What happens if there’s a power cut while the house is using a lot of electricity?

Your system includes a Manual Changeover Switch, which is normally kept in bypass mode. In the event of a power cut, you’ll need to switch it to backup mode. Before doing so, make sure to turn off all non-essential appliances to prevent overloading the system.

Keep in mind that because this is a manual switch, the power will stay off if no one is home to operate it. For this reason, we recommend separating essential and non-essential circuits. The inverter’s Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) can then automatically keep essential loads powered during an outage.
