Excise tax is a 3%-4% tax you’ll get on your mobile services, which was introduced during the 2015 Budget in Malta. This tax will amount to 4% of mobile customers’ total bill who are on a contract and it will be listed as a separate amount.

For mobile customers on top-up, the 4% tax is deducted from the amount of credit after you top up.
